Anyway, he took her for a ride on the back of his motor scooter and she's been telling him how to drive ever since! They went steady through high school and then Ron took off for Texas A&M for a year. Marsha started attending UTEP, which was then called Texas Western College. Marsha & Ron both graduated from UTEP. Marsha got a BS in Education and began her teaching career. Shortly after that they were married in 1966. Ron entered the Army and was stationed in Germany for his first assignment and their son, Glenn, was born there. Ron's next assignment was in Vietnam and Marsha stayed with her parents and taught school. When Ron returned he was stationed at Ft Bliss. Their daughter, Christine was born in El Paso during that assignment. Their next assignment was Ft Leavenworth, then they were off to Germany again - after 4 years there they were assigned to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Marsha achieved a Master's degree in education while teaching part time. Marsha's master's program/teaching in New Mexico was unique because she was part of a special teaching assignment where reading was taught to children who needed remedial help. Then there was a short tour back to Ft Bliss where Ron held an assignment at the Army's Sergeants Major Academy while he waited to take command of a battalion in Germany. After the next Germany tour, another duty station at Ft Leavenworth - from there they were assigned to Colorado Springs. Marsha taught as a substitute for about a half a year, then decided that rather than go back to school for two years to get her Colorado teaching certificate, she'd try real estate instead. After 21 years Marsha retired her real estate license at the end of 2011, but she still helps Ron as an unlicensed assistant. A couple of years after Ron joined her in the business, Marsha suggested they get a motorcycle so they could take quick one day breaks into the mountains to relax from the long hours in the real estate business. Three motorcycles and about 200,000 miles on two wheels later, this is still one of her passions. You might see them riding the white Gold Wing across the country. However, once a teacher, always a teacher - Marsha teaches the "Cubbies" Awanas program at church, using many of her Elementary Education skills. She's also an avid quilter when the time allows.

Marsha is also a graduate of Bel Air High School in El Paso, Texas. Marsha was chatting with a bunch of her friends in biology class when this really handsome guy asked her out ... that was the beginning of this journey!
